I think out of all the things he said, what stood out to me the most was his comment on journalism. He mentioned what we have briefly went over in the past with "what defines journalism?" He had the opinion that not everyone can just post online and call themselves a journalist, they would be more like a blogger. He had respect for the field that basically most of have participated or want to pursue in the future. It is important for this as he is a politician. It was also good to hear how a small town funded and held townhall meetings together to discuss matters of thing such as education. Growing up in Bridgeport, it was even hard for a private school that I was privileged to go to scrounge for funds for programs of the arts and athletics. I could not imagine the hardships for a smaller town where there is not the same wide scale government as there would be for a large metropolitan.
